"ICIS" stands for Integral Currency
Interchange System. ICIS Money Orders simply sells money orders to users
of e-currencies, allowing them to make payment for the money orders in
those currencies. We then sell the e-currency in order to replenish the
FRN's in the Money Orders account.
The benefit is in the use of e-currencies in making payments to local
entities, and it will be most useful to those in the US and Canada. It is
neither intended, nor convenient, for sending money, but as a way to make
the acceptance of e-currencies profitable, especially to online merchants.
In my experience, accepting e-currencies often leaves one with plenty of
assets, but no siwft and inexpensive way to access those assets when the
light bill is due. Now, with ICIS, it's like having a checkbook that draws
against your e-currency accounts.
